Close your eyes and masturbate…

unknownIn a world where people proliferate negative images and thoughts we need to find our pleasures with our eyes closed…No blood stained streets, chalk outlines, no picket signs, lampposts decorated with flower tributes and candles.

Close your eyes, now do you see anything? Anything at all? If your answer is no we have a serious problem…

When we close our eyes we are not merely shutting out light or bad visuals we are opening our paths to enlightenment. As children our minds are open and eyes are never truly closed. As we grow older we become tarnished, impure and our views are often dark, our glass is empty despite the presence of a single drop of water.

When you shut down one sense, the others become heightened. We kiss with our eyes closed, while holding one another to embrace a passion far beyond the mere entwining of tongues and touching of lips. We peak during the process to confirm the feeling, the concrete-ness of the activity. We peak intermittently to grab the expression of our lovers face during sex to give us more fuel to drive deeper into one another. Peaking and hoping not to get caught creating more excitement.

Peaking to lock in that image of pleasure and the emotion so we can replay it in our minds when our lover absent.

Closing your eyes leads to the path of enlightenment. You meditate on what is, what was and what can be… creating an infinite world of possibility. When we shut out artificial light we open the true light within. We gain clarity into our inner being. We become truthful with our pain and pleasure. There is no denying what lies beneath the surface.  We remove the masks and become free within ourselves.

It’s all truly an orgasmic experience when you become enlightened within yourself. Masturbation, a word that is often considered taboo in many cultures, allows you to pleasure yourself, relieve stress…be it physically or mentally.  We should not only connect masturbation with self-sexual stimulation. We masturbate in so many other ways: we when eat our favorite food or dessert; watch our favorite movie; listen to our favorite song; pull on our favorite sweats… We are pleasuring different areas of ourselves. After a long hard day and you step into that shower, water beating on your skin you close your eyes and allow all the staleness of the day to wash down the drain.

You’ve traveled miles and when you reach your destination you sit and close your eyes pleasuring your body and mind with a brief rest.

Closing your eyes allows you to masturbate the creativity of your spirit in your private sanctuary.

Take time out, close your eyes look inward and masturbate = stimulate your desires, dreams and find solutions.

My New Journey Begins

“A heart that is troubled shall be no more.

A soul that is lost will soon find its way.

A flicker of light will provide seas of hope.

May the sweet fragrance of flowers be constant reminder that true beauty is within.

Open your heart and release your light path.”

Happiness is finding pencil after pencil after pencil after …

The first $20 I ever made was performing at the Billie Holiday Theatre at the Restoration Plaza located in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. I played Peppermint Patty in “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown” with my JHS Drama club. The entire cast was paid equally and it was amazing. I took that $20 and opened my first bank account at the now defunct Chemical Bank which was also in the Restore, that was in 1977. Kitura, Walter, Darryl, Yolanda, Lamar, Sheila, just to name a few of my cast mates; our Music/Drama teacher Ms. Powell who did all of this with/for us on her own dime, back then teachers gave of their personal time without per session pay.

I almost sound like Estelle Getty as Sophia Petrillo in the Golden Girls ‘Picture it: Brooklyn 1977…’ lol

What an amazing feeling! I remember we were all celebrities for our brief run on our very own little Bed-Stuy Broadway! Everything was about community back then.

To this day I still love the Peanuts gang. We enjoyed the stories and didn’t see their colors or gender identities, just kids; plain and simple.

I never realized the lessons I was learning thru it all: teamwork, patience, sharing the spotlight, finding our voices, recognizing our individual talents, encouraging each other and so much more.

There are so many things I loved about that musical but as I grow older the one thing that stands out the most is the ensemble song Happiness, the first line is “Happiness is finding a pencil.” It truly was for Charlie Brown for when the pretty little red headed girl dropped her pencil, he picked it up, saw teeth marks and knew she was human.

“I’m so happy. That little red-headed gril dropped her pencil. It has teeth marks all over it. She nibbles her pencil. She’s human! It hasn’t been such a bad day after all.” Charlie Brown, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown

I have my own little chewed up pencil with it’s equally little eraser and I never hesitate to correct my mistakes, I’m only human.

My bite marks on the pencil represent the release of panic, anxiety and putting thought into my every action. When it’s needed and I’m ready (for change isn’t easy) I find my pencil , I erase and start over again with renewed confidence.

I save each worn down pencil to remind me of how far I have come, how much I have accomplished.

Take the exit ramp

Castro Exit ramp

#Soulmuze #MySoulSpeaks #ExitRamp #ICanIWill #Soulspirations #NegativeToPositive #LoveLight #BloodInThePen #SpillingInk

Day after day we are facing our fears and new challenges. Those of us who are spiritually attuned with the universe analyze behavior of self and others.

We are seeking answers for our unlimited “whys.” Why did we enable these negative behaviors? Why is it all so consuming, stagnating our dash?

We seek the answers for our “hows”. How do we make our days filled with unlimited love and peace amidst all the negativity that flows through the elements? How can we control what’s not in our control?

We seek the answers for our “whats.” What can we do to smoothen life’s journey? What can we do to strengthen our resolve and not spiral backwards?

We seek the answers for our “whos.” Who do we keep and who do we let go? Who is truly for us?

We seek the answers for our “whens.” When will our hopes and dreams come to fruition? When will the pain end?

Finally, we seek the answers for our “wheres”. Where do we begin the journey of recovery? Where are the answers hidden?

It’s the never ending cycle which is life. We know that once we can secure the answers we can secure ourselves.

We can start by taking the exit ramp and forge a new path on our respective highways of life.

We have separate paths, at some point we will come to a crossroad and that is your moment of truth… which way to go?

Exit the need to ask others to forgive you. Forgive yourself for allowing situations to make you go left instead of right.

Exit doubt in your abilities. You are being the best you that you can be.

Exit close mindedness. Open the path for self-improvement. Make your best even better.

Exit the mindset that the world is against you. Accept that everyone is not for you but there will always be someone who is right there with you.

Exit the life of quantity. Enter the realm of quality. Empty people, empty thoughts have no place in your world.

Exit the thought of obligations that are not respected or reciprocated. You don’t have to stay in something to prove anything to anyone. You, like time is precious don’t waste it. There’s always something or someone more deserving of your energy.

Exit others people’s judgment of you. If they didn’t take the time to learn or understand your journey, don’t live by their judgement. People are often stuck on what you were not who you are becoming.

Take the exit ramp to forgive yourself of your transgressions.

It’s not a goal, for goals have an endpoint. It’s a journey that only ends when your physical presence is no longer required in this space time continuum.

Until your transition date you should live on the open pathways of

love, light and weightlessness.

Leaving my bed

bed

As I rise and leave my bed
Random thoughts of you run through my head
The words you drop so lyrically sweet
And when we touch my heart skips a beat
So nice to feel like a girl in love
But the woman in me knows there are no white doves
Like in Disney movies swirling around me
Singing songs and twirling happily
It’s all just random emotions that I feel crawling out of bed
A fantasy at best, nothing left to be said

I am that wildflower

I am that wildflower that grew from that single crack in the concrete

Taking advantage of the light that shone thru absorbing the morning dew

I am that wildflower that grew from the crack in the concrete seeking opportunity setting myself free

I am that wildflower that grew from the crack in the concrete climbing the backs and standing on the shoulders of great leaders who started thru a pinhole.

That crack is no longer! It is an open field, boundless for many more

The wildflowers from the cracks in the concrete happily fill gardens everywhere

Flourishing beyond expectations of many who thought we were nothing but useless weeds and crab grass

Seeds randomly dropped, expected to die yet grow colorful and bright with no end in sight.

We do not die when our petals have wilted and dried

For within those petals are more seeds waiting their time

To add to a world that is yours, ours, mine …
